| Introduction |
Located in Zeeland in the heart of the countryside,
9 km to the north of the city of Goes, lies the village of
Kats.
There you can relax and stroll through a large and varied rose garden (10 acres)
where you will find more than 1000 varieties of roses and more than 100 varieties of clematis.
Included in the garden are an English garden with David Austin roses and
a Classic garden with many Old roses. From the end of May to late in
the Fall, you will find a wealth of flowering and scented roses, with many
varieties not found in any other rose gardens in The Netherlands. The Classic
garden, composed largely of roses that flower once in early summer, is most
beautiful in June and July. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult,
but dogs are not allowed on the premises.
Kats lies on the island of Noord-Beveland,
nearly at the foot of the Zeelandbrug, and is a 45 minute
drive from Rotterdam, Breda and Antwerp.
